Morehead Beaufort Yacht Club is a privately owned marina slip condominium association and private club located just outside beautiful Beaufort, NC, in the heart of the Crystal Coast. Tucked within the quiet Deerfield Shores neighborhood, the Club offers a peaceful, well-protected setting with 73 privately owned slips, a private boat ramp, clubhouse, and pool—all centered around a secure marina basin.
Our marina sits off the Intracoastal Waterway at Marker 27 on the Newport River, only a short ride from downtown Beaufort. The GPS coordinates for the entrance are 34° 46' North, 76° 40' West.
Our History.
Originally built in 1989 as the Carolina Marlin Club, the facility offered slips for private purchase. In 1992, owners voted to welcome Associate Members from a local boating club with roots going back nearly 80 years in Morehead City. From that point forward, the Carolina Marlin Club began doing business as (DBA) the Morehead Beaufort Yacht Club.
Today, the Club is known for its friendly, low-key, and down-to-earth community. Members enjoy a full range of coastal activities—sailing, offshore and inshore saltwater fishing, visiting Cape Lookout National Seashore, kayaking, biking, walking, water aerobics, and plenty of simple relaxation. Whether you're gathering with friends, attending a social event, or unwinding on the clubhouse porch with a book, coffee, or laptop on WiFi, MBYC is a place that feels like home.
